Elsie G. Narvas, a proud Veteran of the United States Navy who served during the Vietnam war, passed away on August 29,2024, at the age of 82. Born in the Philippines on March 10, 1942 to his parents Alfredo and Marciana. He brought warmth, humor, and kindness to all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Elsie was celebrated for his infectious sense of humor and playful spirit, often joking around and putting smiles on the faces of those around him. Family and friends fondly remember him as a good father and a devoted grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.
Elsie's beloved wife, Senena Narvas, stands as a testament to their enduring love, alongside their son, Greg and his wife Liza Narvas and their daughter Elze Gayle and her husband Aidan Fogarty. The legacy of Elsie continues through his grandchildren: Easton, Emily, Sawyer, and Aidan.
He is also survived by one brother and four sisters, who will hold his memory dearly in their hearts.
The family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation at Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729. Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A funeral mass will be held at Ss. Cyril and Methodius R.C. Church on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 10:15 AM. A burial will follow immediately after church at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY.
Elsie G. Narvas leaves behind a rich legacy of love, laughter, and devotion that will forever be cherished by his family and friends. His spirit will continue to inspire and bring joy to those who were fortunate enough to know him.
