Romeo Paul Martorella, born on June 19, 1927, in Franklin Square, New York to his parents John and Mary. Romeo passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, at the age of 98 in North Carolina.
A proud veteran, Romeo served in the Coast Guard, exemplifying dedication and service to his country. After his military service, he pursued a career as an aerospace engineer, a field in which he made significant contributions, reflecting his brilliant mind and unwavering commitment to innovation.
Romeo was a man defined by his kindness and caring nature. He was deeply devoted to his family and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, embodying the love and support that a family man represents. As a husband, he enjoyed a long and fulfilling marriage of over 73 years, a testament to his unwavering commitment and love.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Linda and her husband Michael Maglione, Paula and her husband Bob Woolsey, and Lisa and her husband Christopher Aldridge. His enduring legacy will also be carried on by his five grandchildren, who will remember him as a loving and supportive figure in their lives. Romeo is also survived by his brother, John Martorella.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Mary Martorella, whom he was married to for over 73 years. He is also predeceased by his sister, the late Madeline Martorella, who, along with the rest of his family, undoubtedly shared in the rich tapestry of experiences that made Romeo's life meaningful.
Visitation will take place on November 15, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Prayer Service at 11:00 AM, all at Mangano Family Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1701 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY.
Romeo Paul Martorella will be remembered not just for his professional achievements but for the profound impact he had on the lives of those who knew him. His warm spirit and generous heart will live on in the memories of his family and friends.
