Elsie Elizabeth Proppe, 61, of Forest City, died April 19th at her apartment with her family by her side.
Born in Moundsville, WV, daughter of the late Charles and Helen Parker Robertson, she was a graduate of Lakeland High School. Prior to her illness, she worked as a CNA for many years at Abington Manor. She was a volunteer with the Elk Lake Fire Department. Elsie loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She was a wonderful friend and loved to laugh. She enjoyed reading books, watching movies, and playing games. She was also very stubborn and had battled different health issues for many years. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who loved dolphins.
Surviving are her four children: Phillip Robertson (Susan); Elizabeth Hollister (Shannon); Joseph Proppe (Holly); Edward Proppe (Rachelle Snyder); grandchildren: James Robertson; Phillip Robertson, Jr.; Zachary Robertson; Tiffany, Domanick, Gage, Stefan, and Davina Hollister; Haylie, Karissa, Alexandria; Jacob; Liam; and Elijah Proppe; a sister: Joyce Coffman; two brothers: Charlie Robertson and Jeron Coffman; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters, including Roberta Robertson and Rose Hodgson.
A celebration of Elsie's life will be held at a future date. Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
