A devoted husband, Elton married Katherine Alsum on August 29, 1958, in East Friesland. Their love story, which spanned nearly 65 years, was punctuated by Elton's unwavering support. He lovingly cared for Katherine during her final years, reflecting the deep bond they shared throughout their lives.
Elton’s career was marked by his passion for farming and mechanics, where he thrived as an original fabricator. He worked for 27 years at National Rivet, yet found his true joy on the farm. After the passing of his brother-in-law, Elton and Katherine relocated to Randolph to assist Kevin. There he dedicated himself to teaching Kevin the intricacies of dairy farming, instilling in him the values of hard work and resilience.
Elton was not only a mentor to many but also a hands-on teacher, ensuring that those around him learned to be self-sufficient and skilled. His motto, "Can't learn any younger," speaks to his belief in the importance of imparting knowledge to the younger generation.
Beyond his work and family, Elton had a penchant for working on antique tractors and enjoyed the camaraderie of tractor pulling competitions. He cherished going out for breakfast with his family every day, creating memorable moments through shared meals and conversation.
He is survived by six children: Sharon (Michael) Henning, Karen Lawson, Susan (Donald) Henning, Pamela (Robert) Mecklenberg, Kathleen (Michael) Brown Jr, and Richard (Penny) Hull; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and one great-great-grandchild. Elton is also remembered by his special friend, Arlene Handshy; his sisters Lois (Gordon) Alsum and Caroline Gilmore; his brothers Delvin (Lilly) Hull, Ronald (Joan) Hull, Jerald (Luann) Hull, and Phillip (Jennifer) Hull; his sisters-in-law Marlene Hull and Jayne Hull; his brother-in-law Samuel Braaksma; and many nieces and nephews.
Elton was predeceased by his beloved wife Katherine in 2023, a grandson Jason Lawson, a son-in-law Timothy Lawson, along with family members Gordon Hull, Elaine Braaksma, Lyle Hull, Robert (Beverly) Hull, and Merlin (Donna) DeYoung.

Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in the Town of Trenton.
