Elton Richard Jackson, 91, of Burleson, Texas, passed away on February 15, 2026. He was born on August 19, 1934, in Manchester, Texas, to Odie and Bertha Jackson.
Elton graduated from Deport High School in 1953. Shortly after graduation, he moved to Fort Worth, where he briefly worked at a local filling station before beginning a long and dedicated career with Stratoflex. He devoted 43 years of service to the company before retiring.
Elton married Nancy Jane Castleman in 1954. Later, he married Betty Moore in 1985. Elton’s parents were sharecroppers during his childhood, and he often helped in the cotton fields after school and throughout the summers. He carried the values of hard work and perseverance with him throughout his life. Elton loved spending time with his family and his beloved cats, Elvis and Sister. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and tinkering with anything that needed fixing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Odie and Bertha Jackson; his wives, Nancy Jackson and Betty Jackson; his son, Ronny Jackson; and his brothers, Elbert, Archie, and J.D. Jackson.
He is survived by his son, Richard Jackson and wife June; stepdaughter, Lisa Tygher and husband Joe; stepson, David Moore; brother, Jack Jackson; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Thompson’s Harveson & Cole Chapel, 4350 River Oaks Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76114.
Reception: A reception will be held in the Drawing Room immediately following the service.
