Elton Eugene Johnson, age 56, of Crawfordsville, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Franciscan Health Indianapolis. He was born on December 6, 1968 to the late Elton and Rosemary (Peterson) Johnson.
Elton graduated from high school in Chicago. After attending College, he worked as a Security Officer for DSI. Elton retired from Time Definite, where he drove a semi.
Elton married Daisy Lynn Clarkson on October 16, 2022. He was a die-hard Chicago Bears fan. Elton was adventurous and generous. He enjoyed traveling and watching tv especially crime scene shows. He loved spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.
Elton will be deeply missed by his wife, Daisy; children, Jeremy (Alyssa) McDonnell, Agnes (Ben) Briski, Emm (Charles) Barr, and Sonny Johnson; siblings, Clarence "Sonny" (Susan) Peterson, Freddy (Becky) Johnson, Harold (Julie Pine) Johnson, David Johnson, and Michael Johnson; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Logan, Aiden, Maxwell, Ariana, Maverick, Hailyn, and Liam; two stepdaughters, Andrea Snyder and Angel Rose (Ethan) Sipes; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Elton Johnson Jr.; and siblings, Christine Peterson Posser and Thomas Johnson.
A visitation will be held at Sanders Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington Street, in Crawfordsville on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral Services for Elton will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery.
