Elton Lavon Todd, age 91, died Monday, July 24, 2023, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Born on Monday, August 10, 1931, in Medina, TN, he was the son of Sherman L. and Lottie Cotton Todd.
He was a Sgt. in Army National Guard and retired as a supervisor at Jackson Utility Division (JEA). Elton was a member of Westover Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Robertson Todd; children, Curtis Todd and Sheila Todd; brother, David Todd; and sisters, Annie Todd, Bobbie Record, and Catherine Cupples.
SERVICE: The graveside service for Elton will be held Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Hopewell Cemetery in Medina, TN.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38015, or online at www.stjude.org.
