Elva Gibbs Obituary
Elva Gibbs, age 93, passed away December 7, 2025. She was born August 2, 1932 to James and Evelyn (Armstong) Britt in Council Bluffs, IA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; brothers and sisters, Violet, June, Earl, Robert, Ardith, John, and Evan; and daughter, Pamela Johnson; and son-in-law, Bill Russell.
Elva is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Russell, Karen Moosmeier (Sherwin Palmer) and former son-in-law, Daniel Moosmeier; grandchildren, Angela (Abi), Bradley (Megan), Catherine, Martin, Gregory, Amy, Jeffrey, Sara (Shawn), and Heidi, many great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM at Fairview Cemetery on Friday, December 12, 2025. In lieu of flowers, family requests hats, mittens, gloves and scarves to be brought to the services to be donated.
