Elva Lucille Kaemmerling (nee Springer), age 94, of Menomonee Falls, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, while in the presence of her loving family.
Elva was born on December 29, 1930, in Milwaukee, to the late John and Leora (nee Guest) Springer. On February 6, 1954, Elva was united in marriage to Robert Kaemmerling in Milwaukee and together they raised three children. As her children grew, Elva became a medical assistant working in a clinical setting for many years.
Elva loved her family and always looked forward to hosting them. At gatherings, she would simply find joy in sitting back and observing them interact with each other. Her grandsons meant the world to her, and she never missed one of their basketball games or any of their other events. She enjoyed getting out of the house and always looked forward to going out to eat. Elva loved doing all kinds of puzzles from jigsaws to word searches, to cross words. She was entertained by bird watching. In her later years, Elva lived at Grace Commons in Menomonee Falls and enjoyed her independence while living there. She looked forward to time spent with The Eirenicon Club and was fond of their bingo and entertainment. Elva found pleasure in playing games. In addition to bingo, she loved to play RummiKub, Hand in Foot, Horse Racing, and LCR. Above all, Elva was a woman of faith and was a long-time member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church in Menomonee Falls.
Elva is survived by her three children, Kevin (significant other Sharri Hust) Kaemmerling, Sandy (Brian) Drewek, and Debbie (Tim) Prasch; two grandsons, Michael and Joe (significant other Megan Parins) Prasch; a sister, Delores (Fred) Musbach; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Elva was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her brother, Leroy, and her sister, June.
A funeral service in remembrance of Elva will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 6:00 pm, at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church (W196N9525 Cross View Way, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051). Elva’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Monday, from 4:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm. Burial will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park.
Memorials to Grace Ev. Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful staff of Grace Commons for all the activities and entertainment that they provided for Elva and her friends over the years.
