Elvia Jimarez, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 83 years old.
A rosary will be held at 5pm on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington, Texas. Followed by a visitation from 6pm to 8pm. A funeral mass will be held at 2pm on Thursday, October 23, 2025, with a reception to follow at the funeral home.
Born on July 24, 1942, in Juarez, Mexico, Elvia was the cherished daughter of Jesus and Juana Silva. She later married the love of her life, Ramon Jimarez, with whom she built a beautiful family rooted in love and strength.
Elvia is lovingly remembered by her children, Gilbert Jimarez and Gary Jimarez (Jeremy), and her daughter-in-law, Irma Jimarez. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Alejandro Jimarez, Daniela Jimarez, Alex Degler, Hallee Kaiser, Caleb Jimarez, Conner Myers, and Sally Myers.
She is also survived by her siblings, Carolina Munoz (Jose), Edmundo Silva (Bertha), Armida Gutirrez, and Esperanza Silva, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
Elvia was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Juana Silva; her beloved son, Gabriel Jimarez; and her sister, Mary Hernandez (Ciro); and brother-in-law, Oscar Gutierrez.
Throughout her life, Elvia was known for her strong work ethic and dedication, working as a supervisor at Levi Strauss and later at Mervyn’s. Beyond her professional achievements, she will be remembered most for her unwavering love for her family, her kind heart, and her resilient spirit.
Her legacy of warmth, generosity, and perseverance lives on in all who knew and loved her.
