With deep love and gratitude, the family of Elvira "Vera" Reyes announces her passing on October 6, 2025, at the age of 87.
Born on February 23, 1938, Elvira lived a life devoted to her family and her faith. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Pete Reyes, and their four children: Diana Graham (Jeff), Cynthia Reyes Chavez, Richard Reyes (Anna), and Michelle Rocha (Jack). She also leaves behind a beautiful legacy of 12 grandchildren, 9 spouses of grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three more blessings soon to arrive.
For over 60 years, Elvira dedicated herself as a homemaker, pouring her heart into creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. She was cherished by countless family and friends, who knew her as a woman of unwavering kindness, generosity, and devotion.
A devout Catholic, Elvira's faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ guided her every step. She was not only a mother and grandmother but also a teacher of many-sharing lessons of love, patience, and perseverance. Whether it was preparing breakfast, lunch, or after school snacks, helping with homework, or teaching her grandchildren how to kick a soccer ball or swing a bat, Elvira gave her time and energy selflessly. She showed her family, in countless ways, how deeply she loved them.
Her presence was a blessing, and her absence will be deeply felt. Yet, her spirit lives on in the traditions she began, the lessons she taught, and the love she instilled in all who knew her.
As we continue the legacy she began so many years ago, we will honor her by remembering what is truly important in life and in faith.
She will be forever loved, adored, and missed.
