Elvira “Vera” E. Neterval (nee Visintin), 94, passed away on January 24, 2025, at her home with her family by her side.
Vera was born on May 30, 1930 in Milwaukee, to the late Julius and Ernestine (nee Zueck) Visintin. Vera was united in marriage to John F. Neterval on May 7, 1960, in Milwaukee. John passed away on February 23, 2003. Vera worked in the Milwaukee Public Schools as a food service worker. Vera was a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was an avid card/game player with some of her favorites being, golf, sheepshead, rummikub, cribbage. Vera loved ice cream and Cannoli as well.
Those left to cherish Vera’s memory include her three children, Diana Schoen, Linda (Peter Feldhusen) Neterval, and Sandra Neterval; four grandchildren, Neil (Bintou) Schoen, Paul (Amanda) Schoen, Kyle (Whitney) Feldhusen, and Sara (Alex) White; seven great grandchildren, Mason, Madelyn, Jackson, Jace, Asan, Aliyah, and Vera; brother Peter Visintin; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and in – laws, and husband, Vera is preceded in death by her brother, Henry Visintin.
VISITATION: Vera’s family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., at Myrhum – Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, 1315 W. Washington Street, West Bend.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: Following visitation at 11:30 a.m. there will be a Memorial Service for Vera, with Deacon Mark Jansen officiating the service.
MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers a donation in Vera’s memory can be made to American Heart Association (https://www.heart.org/en/get-involved/ways-to-give) and St. Jude’s’s (https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html).
