Elwanda Ann Croney passed away on June 2, 2025. She was born in Manila, Arkansas on October 31, 1938, to Ruby and Enoch Hodge. She was united in marriage to J.W. Croney on September 1, 1961, in Memphis, TN. From this union she had four children. Rhonda Dunnermann (Crandall), Kerry Croney, Randall Croney, and Lagaila Peatross (Wes). Nine grandchildren; Amber Hudzik (Matt), Scott Dunnermann, Sarah Gordon (Chris), Taylor Baalman (Nick Black), Hunter Baalman (Jenna Kasten), Leah Brooks (Aaron), Wyatt Peatross, William Peatross, and Madeleine Peatross. Two great grandchildren, Theo and Nora Hudzik. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, J.W. Croney, her parents, sisters Pauline Hollis and Earline Welch, and brother, David Hodge.
Elwanda loved camping, gardening, sewing, traveling, and most of all, her family. She was a great woman of faith; loved by all who met her because she was kind, sweet, and loving.
The family of Elwanda would like to thank the many friends and family that shared or touched her life in so many ways. Special thanks to the people that played an important role in the services, commemorating and celebrating her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lighthouse Church in Troy, Missouri.
