Emil D. Markiewicz, 68, of Tell City, IN passed away Friday, November 21, 2025, under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of W. Kentucky. The Saint Francis, WI native was born February 14, 1957, as one of eleven children to the late Joseph D.A. Markiewicz and Joanne Meler Markiewicz. Emil enjoyed playing baseball and softball where he was the pitcher, as well as camping, darts, bowling, and fishing. He was employed for over 30 years as a welder at Summit Metal in Cudahy. After moving to Tell City, Emil worked at Masterbrand Cabinets before his health deteriorated.
In addition to his parents, Emil was also preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Markiewicz and his brother, Joseph Markiewicz Jr.; two black labs, Sasha and Mocha.
Survivors include his nine siblings, Donald Markiewicz (Suzan), Anthony Markiewicz (Judy), Mark Markiewicz (Michelle), Glenn Markiewicz (Tiffany), Richard Markiewicz (Sherry), Melody Ann Markiewicz (Mike Schrank), Terry Ann Jensen (Matt), Joanne Fredack (Eric), and Scott Markiewicz; a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Arrangements for Emil Markiewicz are private. Care by Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
