Emil Peter Milec, Jr.

June 9, 1948 – August 14, 2025

It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Emil Peter Milec Jr., a proud United States Marine Corps Vietnam veteran, devoted father, and the rock of our family. He passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Philadelphia on June 9, 1948, Emil lived a life defined by service, loyalty, and love. He served his country with honor as a member of the USMC 3 rd Battalion Recon during the Vietnam War; he demonstrated the discipline, courage, and camaraderie of the Corps throughout his life. His service to his country was a source of deep pride, and he was always quick to share a firm handshake and a heartfelt "Semper Fi."

The rock of our family, Emil, was a devoted father to four daughters, Michelle Del Piano, Kimberley Zumbado (Nestor), Stephanie Belsanti (Michael) and the late Ivelisse Gonzalez and a cherished father-in-law. He is reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Lucy, his dear daughter, Ivelisse and his precious great-grandson, Tristan who preceded him in death.

He leaves behind nine grandchildren, Gary, Ivelisse, Jacelena, Nicolette, Alyssa, Michael, Emily, Nicolas and Dakota and ten great grandchildren, Antonio, Yannia, Jesse, Antonneio, Analia, Elijah, Christian, Carter, Celena and Skylar and his beloved fur family Sammy, his loyal dog always by his side, with sidekick Cody and Stasi.

He was forever a Philadelphia sports fan, he cheered for his teams through every high and low. Family gatherings were his happiest moments whether sharing stories, offering guidance, or simply enjoying the noise and love that surrounded him. He made every moment count. He taught us the value of loyalty, the strength found in family, and the joy of living each day to the fullest. We will forever remember his infectious smile, warm laugh, and the way his face lit up whenever we were together.

His legacy of family, strength, laughter, and love will carry on.

Semper Fi, Marine your watch is over. Rest easy.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Wednesday 9:45 – 10:45 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, 176 Stagecoach Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Emil's memory may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.
