It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emile A. Brownback, of Mt. Laurel on Tuesday September 19, 2023. He was 86.
Husband of the late Meta Brownback (nee Robertson) is survived by his beloved sons, Gordon Plasket Jr. and Dave Brownback (Charlene); His grandchildren, Donald Alm III (Stephanie), Victoria James (Michael), Lance Weer (Jessica), Jason Alm (Chandler), David Brownback (Karyn), Samantha Weer, and Nicole Brownback; and his great-grandchildren, Donald Alm IV, Ella James, Alex Alm, Rhylan James, Jason Alm Jr., Jacob Brownback, Leah Brownback and Kyle Alm.
Emile enjoyed vacationing with his family on the beach in Oak Island NC. He spent his time there body surfing, playing family games of volleyball and miniature golf, and usually ending the day at Dairy Queen enjoying his favorite treat, a strawberry milkshake. He loved to spend time with his family, often getting them together for breakfast at his favorite diner and hosting holiday dinners at his home. He especially enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and was happy to wrangle all of them to go shoe shopping for school every year. He loved his dogs and was an avid Phillies fan, even if he wasn't always happy with them when they lost. Emile was always there when you needed advice and to care for his family. He will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family 10 am to 11 am, Wednesday, September 27th at the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home, 33 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville. Funeral service will follow at 11 am. Interment in Northwood Cemetery, Philadelphia.
