EMILY KOCHEL Obituary
July 9, 1958 - May 19, 2025
Lancaster - Emily "Chris" Kochel (Sifferman), a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and generosity. She gave freely of her time, energy, and heart to all who knew her.
Chris was the beloved wife of Marc Kochel, and a devoted mother to Patti, Katie, and David. One of her greatest joys in later life was becoming "Grandma" to her granddaughter, Claire.
Her memory will continue to live on in the stories, values, and lives of those she touched.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Chris will be held: Friday, June 6, 2025, at 5:00 PM; VFW Post 3000 Hall - Quartz Hill.

Chris, I called her, for Emily "Chris" Kochel was a friend of mine. We worked together in the Seattle FBI Field Office. I would later become Chris´s immediate supervisor while she worked in the DOJ/FBI Communications Center in Seattle. Chris was one of many confidants in the office. Our birthdays were both in July. Chris was a lot older than myself lol! Chris & myself would talk & laugh in the office & address important matters. I do not recall Chris in the LA Office but we both were from the Los Angeles FBI Office now assigned to FBI Seattle. I visited Chris´s home in Renton/Tukwila area in WA & met her family. I believe I saw her new husband Marc but he may have been busy with children which were there. I last saw Chris in 2024 & we both handled a business matter. Chris loved Christ & I think her political views may have changed & hopefully she did not vote for our current administration in office. lol ! Chris will truly be missed. We talked about many things. Chris, may God continue to bless you while in his presence & your family. Much love, friend.
