Donohue Funeral Home - Newtown SquareEmily Denise Meakim (nee Conley), age 46, of Springfield, PA, passed away on August 16, 2025. Born in Darby, PA, she was the beloved daughter of Stephen E. and Marianne E. Conley (nee Campbell).
Emily graduated from West Chester University in 2002 and immediately began a career in tax accounting, spending her entire career at one company, GMS Surgent, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
She loved her summers in Sea Isle City, the Villas or Cape May- her happy places. Spending her time with friends and family, sitting on the beach and reading or doing her many puzzles.
Emily was the ultimate boy mom. She could always be found on a ball field or court cheering on her boys' football, basketball or baseball teams with unbridled enthusiasm.
Emily was the beloved wife of Brendan Meakim; loving mother of Daniel T. and Patrick T. Meakim; caring sister of Stephanie Slavin (Joseph) and Timothy Conley (Katie); devoted daughter-in-law of Thomas Meakim and Karen Meakim (nee Kubik) , sister in law to Deirdre Pasciolla (Dave) and Kyle Meakim. She was adored by her nieces and nephews as well as her lifelong friends, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Family and friends are invited to Emily’s Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 22, 2025 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Ave, Springfield, PA 19064. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Emily’s name to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, komen.org, would be appreciated.
