Emily Diane Presnell, age 37, went home to be with Jesus November 14, 2023 at Watauga Medical Center. Emily was born December 3, 1985 in Watauga County, NC to Lester and Janet Reece. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Burl and Wilma Miller and Brownlow and Elizabeth Reece.

 

Emily loved music and loved singing in the choir. She enjoyed being out and about and going to yard sales and thrift stores. She attended Zionville Baptist Church during her youth and was a current member of Willowdale Baptist Church.

 

Those left to cherish her memories include her parents, Lester and Janet Reece; sister, Lesley Trivette; aunts and uncles, Jimmy and Diane Harmon, Larry and Jane Miller, Sue Hayes, Phyllis Dugger, Pat Reece; many cousins and special friends, Cal Welch, Janey Carpenter, Wanda Johnson, Ayla Cook, and her beloved church family.

 

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Dyson Grove Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Leonard Fletcher and Associate Pastor Eddie Smith officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow at the Dyson Grove Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eddie Reece, Preston Reece, Justin Reece, Matthew Harmon, Derek Miller, and Isaiah Watson. Honorary pallbearers are Uncle Jimmy, Uncle Larry, James Vanhoozer, and Bronson Miller.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain City Funeral Home.
