Emma Bostic Obituary
Emma Irene Bostic, 72, of Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in her home with family by her side.
Born June 3, 1953, in Cumberland County, Irene was the daughter of the late John Dewy Holder and Carthie Skipper Holder. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Lee "Jerry" Bostic, Sr.; daughter, Katina Irene Burney; son, Jerry Lee Bostic, Jr.; sisters, Dorothy Holder and Mathie Brehm; and brothers, James Tracy Brehm, Johnny Brehm, and Clifford Holder.
Irene is survived by her grandson, Chase Connor Burney; brother, Leslie Holder and wife Helen; brother, Samuel Brehm; sister, Claire Haire; sister, Lois Terry; nephew, Cheyenne McKenna; several other nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
Irene will be remembered for her kind and compassionate spirit and her willingness to help others in any way whenever she could. She was a beautiful, wonderful and loving person who will be greatly missed and forever cherished by anyone who knew and loved her.
