Emma Jean (Meade) Hurd went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 25, 2025. She was born to Sam and Ruby Meade on July 16, 1945 in Packerton, IN. She married the love of her life, Arnold Gordon Hurd, Sr. on December 22, 1963. They spent 35 years together before his death. Together, they raised their three children while traveling with the Full Gospel Singers to spread the love of Jesus. Emma Jean leaves behind her three children: Sheila (Joe) Beezley, Gordon (Deborah) Hurd, and Dean (Shelly) Hurd. In addition are 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one sister, Mary Ellen Hall, one brother Sam (Bonnie) Meade, as well as multiple nieces and nephews. While she lived a simple life, she will be remembered for the great love she had for her family and Jesus.
Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is entrusted with the care of Emma. The viewing will be held at Harvest Community Church (Pierceton, IN) from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 30, 2025. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm with Pastor Glenn Hall officiating. A celebration of life dinner will be provided at the Claypool Lions Building following the graveside service at Graceland Cemetery (Claypool, IN).
