Emma Lou Lee, aged 88 passed away peacefully in Slidell, Louisiana on the third of January 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and service.
Born May second 1937 in Kentucky to Emmitt and Orpha Spears, Emma led a life dedicated to educating others. Attaining a master's degree in education and spending more than 30 years actively in the class room. She further served another 20 years as a supervisor for the Hawkins County Board of Education before retiring, and later, moving to Slidell, Louisiana to be closer to her friends and family. She had an unwavering love for the Lord and her family. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, studying the bible, spending time with her family, travelling, and of course learning new things.
She is survived by her children: Peggy Clausing (Dick), Debra Clausing (Mick), Teresa Rowland (Larry), and Ruth Livingston (James); as well as her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her legacy will live on through her family, friends, and many lives she has touched.
