Emmett "Trace" E. Coleman, III

Funeral services were held for Emmett “Trace” Coleman, III, age 34, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 405 E. 5th Street, Homer, LA, on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., and Bro. Bruce McGee, officiated. Visitation was at the funeral home from noon-2 p.m., prior to the service.

Trace was born January 21, 1992, in Bossier City, LA, to Carol Spillers Coleman and Emmett E. Coleman, II. He enjoyed working with his hands. Trace could and would take anything apart to see how it worked and then put it back together. He spent a lot of time building computers, as well as gaming for a favorite pass time. Trace loved pestering his niece, Mady, as much as possible just to irritate. He loved his daughter, Emilee, with all his heart.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rita Saxon Spillers; paternal grandfather, Emmett E. Coleman; paternal grandmother, Eloise Alexander; and two aunts, Patsy Coleman and Hilda Hightower Spillers.

He is survived by his mother, Carol Spillers Coleman of Homer; father, Emmett E. Coleman, II of TX; grandfather, George Spillers; daughter, Emilee Coleman; son, Noah Torro; sister, Kelly Wilson and husband Jay of El Dorado, AR; niece, Madyson Lonidier; nephew, Lucas Wilson; and along with aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers were Wes Spillers, Hunter Spillers, Derek Smith, Seth Smith, Channing Winzer and Jaron Winters.

Honorary pallbearers were Cody Spillers, Ryan William Young, Chris Kellogg, Matt Brazzel, David Kelley, and Valairie Willis.
