Emogene Hull passed away peacefully at her home in Shinnston, WV on August 24, 2025. She was born in Corley, WV on June 15, 1935, to Hartsel H. Jordan and Rena Gregory Jordan.

She married Howard J. Hull of Diana, WV in 1951 and they had three daughters: Polly and James Rogers of Virginia, Judy Gordon of Alabama, and Mary and Porter Southern of Lumberport, WV. Emogene was "Granny" to seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. She was also "Aunt Gene" to her nieces and nephews.

Emogene's accomplishments throughout her life include raising her daughters and farming. She also worked in the clothing industry and as a caregiver. As a life-long church member, she was active in various programs. Most recently she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shinnston, volunteered for many years at The Lord's Pantry, and delivered Meals on Wheels in the area.

Emogene is preceded in death by her husband Howard, her sister Phala Hooper, and granddaughter Daphne Robertson.

Per her wishes, a graveside service will be held at a later date in Thorsby, Alabama. A special thank you to family and friends who visited and helped care for her throughout the years.
