Thomas "Tom" Edison Beverly went to be with his Heavenly Father after a decade long battle with cancer. Tom passed away peacefully in his sleep at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, with his son Tommy and brother David at his side. Tom resided in Worthington, WV where he lived with his best friends and caretakers, Cindy Williams and her husband Joe Williams, and his brother Steven Williams.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Roy Beverly and his late ex-wife, Heidi Ann Davis.

Tom is survived by his mother, Phyllis Jean Beverly of Sardis; his brother Roy Beverly and his wife Rhonda; their sons Travis and Allen of Sardis, his brother David Beverly his wife Crystal and their daughter, Alyssa of Wallace, his son Thomas Beverly II, of Mcalester, OK, as well as several extended family members.

Tom was a 1982 graduate of Lincoln High School and a proud WVU Mountaineer and Pittsburgh Steeler fan, as well as Hendricks Motorsports. You could always find Tom watching a game or race and ready to talk about the highlights.

Tom enjoyed his time at home with his dog, Wilson, watching his beloved Mountaineers, Steelers and Hendricks Motorsports teams.

When he was able Tom loved the outdoors, and enjoyed camping and fishing with friends and family.

His larger than life smile, over abundance of optimism, and never give up attitude will be greatly missed as Tom heads into the next great adventure.

The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 2-8pm, Sunday, where funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, August 25th, with Pastor Tim Sandy officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.perinefunerals.com. The Perine Funeral Home is honored to serve the Beverly family.
