Briggs as we all called her. Was my High School biology teacher in the early 70s. Who I had the pleasure of staying in touch with all these years. I always very much enjoyed visiting with her. A memory I know she had was when I surprised her
with a autograph from Trail Blazer great Bill Walton to her in 1976. A year before the Blazers went on to win the N.B.A championship.

I had a difficult time adjusting to private christian school and I was a bit crazy and wild. Miss Briggs was the kindest teacher I encountered at NCCS. She had an amazing love the kids and a mountain of patience with all of us. She will be so dearly missed.

Sunday School and youth group activities were early events shared with my husband. They corresponded during World War II and attended George Fox College and had Biology Class there. After my husband died I still kept in touch over the years and she will be missed.

Remember the iguana that Miss Briggs had? I remember the day when it got loose and all the girls were screaming. When it died Miss Briggs stuffed it. I wonder what she did with it.

No one who ever met this wonderful lady could forget her. Her kindness and love for the kids at North Clackamas Christian School was so genuine. She was a mentor to many and a friend to all. I remember driving the van to sporting events with "Briggs". We had so much fun. It was an honor to know her. Personally I know of at least one moment when she saved my son's "bacon" by giving him a second chance at a test in her Biology class. She was fair and always positive. If she knew you she never forgot who you were. I loved this lady and her sweet smile and attitude. If you took a poll of a teacher who was well loved..."Briggs" would win hands down. She loved the Lord, her family and her kids....Well done good and faithful servant. I look forward to seeing you again one day.
