Enid Hyacinth Denton, cherished friend, devoted nurse, and beloved family member, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2025 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Born on December 8, 1927, in the lush, vibrant parish of St. Ann, Jamaica, Enid lived a full life marked by service, compassion, and love for those around her.
Enid's career as a nurse spanned several decades, where her kindness and dedication touched the lives of countless individuals. Known for her gentle touch and soothing presence, she was a beacon of hope and healing to her patients and colleagues alike. After moving to the United States, Enid settled in Florida, where she continued her life of service both within her profession and her community. Her welcoming nature and infectious smile left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
A visitation will be held at Lakeside Funeral Home & Cremation Care Celebratory Suite in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering the remarkable life Enid led.
Funeral services will be held at St. David in The Pines - Episcopal Church in Wellington, Florida, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This service will be a celebration of Enid's enduring faith, compassion, and the joy she brought into the world.
Following the service, Enid will be peacefully entombed at: Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd., Royal Palm Beach, FL. 33411
