Uncle Attilio
November 22, 2023
On the afternoon of December 27th 1955, standing alone at home, I received a telegram. I opened it. It read, "Nato florido maschietto Enrico, Saluti Vittorio." As my family returned, everyone celebrated- it was the first nephew!
I have been, ever since, very fond of him and proved it in several instances. He was of impeccable fairness, always ready to offer his help to those in need, demonstrating a high spirit of self-denial.
Although, as time passed, he had to move away from Italy for work, he always remained strongly attached to me. His departure has created a void in my heart.
I will have masses officiated in his suffrage. May God have him in glory.

In the few days a year that I had the privilege of spending with my uncle, I only made fond memories. I felt an inexplicable connection, a strong affinity that transcended the infrequency of our meetings.
He had a way of making those moments special, gifting me small presents that left an indelible mark on my childhood. As a science enthusiast, each gift was a marvel, sparking my imagination and curiosity. It was his unique way of showing love, and it resonated with the child in me.
Now, as an adult, I regret not having had the opportunity to delve into deeper conversations with him. I realize the wealth of knowledge and experience he carried, waiting to be shared.
He had a passion for tinkering, a passion I share too. I'll think of him especially when my hands are busy creating and fixing stuff. It's a small way of keeping his spirit alive within me.
Though he may no longer be physically present, the impact he had on my life will endure.

The 'image I associate with my brother is the smile. He had the ability to quickly find solutions to all problems with the utmost serenity. He was tenacious in facing life and all its difficulties and proved it until the end.Altruism distinguished him ,he was well liked by everyone and so it was enough for him to snap his fingers that everyone flocked to him.

May your memories give you peace and comfort of your loved one. Words fall short of expressing my sorrow for the loss of your loved one. May GOD be with you all during this difficult time. 1 Thessalonians 4:14 For if we have faith that Jesus died and rose again, so too God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in death through Jesus.
