Eric J. Brownell, age 59, of Monroe, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.
Eric was born May 9, 1965 in Monroe, he was the son of James and Beverly (Root) Brownell. He married Cathy Welch on May 20, 1995.
He was a 1983 graduate of Ida High School. He worked for Yanfeng in Monroe.
Eric enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved the time he spent with family.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Brownell; his father, James Brownell and his companion, Pam Phillips of Swanton, OH; two children, Michaela (TJ Dicks) Brownell of New Boston and Dawson Brownell of Monroe; two brothers, Craig (Kristin) Brownell of Ft. Wayne, IN and Mark (Laura) Brownell of Sommerset, OH; mother-in-law, Donna Welch of Monroe; nieces and nephews, Emily (John) Wegman of Indianapolis, IN Alex Brownell of Roanoke, IN, Amanda (Jason) Doctor of Columbia City, IN, Mathew Brownell and Sarah Brownell both of Sommerset, OH and many other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Beverly and father-in-law, Kenneth Welch.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, where funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. Rev. Bob Bolton will officiate.
