Eric Warren Centanni, age 44, of Lafayette, Louisiana, passed away suddenly on July 24, 2025, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Born September 16, 1980, in Raceland, Louisiana, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Nicholls State University. He enjoyed a very successful career in Sales and had been employed with Benjamin Moore and Co. for the last 11 years. A passionate technology enthusiast and a devoted father, he had a heart as big as the sky and could always be seen with a smile on his face.
He is survived by his daughter Gemma Faye Centanni (age 8) who was the light of his life; his mother Charlene Centanni; his brother Justin (Marie) Centanni; his sisters Kama (Rick) Pollick and Sera (Daniel) SoRelle: Beloved nephews Michael Hosti, Nicholas Hosti, Trey Pollick, Chase Pollick, Anthony Centanni III, Daniel SoRelle, Jr. and Robert SoRelle; Beloved nieces Lucy Centanni, Serafina Centanni, Eleanor SoRelle and Annie SoRelle.
Additional survivors are his loving girlfriend Christi Guillory and her son Amos, as well as Gemma's mother Dawn Hebert, with whom he remained a caring co-parent.
He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony M. Centanni.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Funeral Home, located at 5200 Canal Boulevard in
New Orleans, Louisiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM at the Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to his father.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eric's memory to the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency, an organization that held special meaning to Eric, as his father was an organ donor recipient.
