Eric Feil Obituary
Those of you who were lucky enough to know Eric will know that he would have wanted his memory celebrated with warmth, joy, and laughter. Eric was a kind soul who always looked to get a laugh out of those around him. Whether it was posing for goofy pictures, creating personalities for his dogs, or poking fun with coworkers, Eric loved bringing smiles to the faces of those around him.
Eric enjoyed a long and successful career in the U.S. Air Force starting with his enlistment at age 18 in 1987. While in the service he obtained his BS in business management at Charleston Southern University (1996) and MA in Acquisition Logistics Management at WPAFB. His major assignments included McChord AFB (1996-1998), Fort Monteith in Kosovo (1999-2000), Iraq (2004), and Wright-Patt AFB (2001-2010).
He was afterwards commissioned as a Contracting Officer through Air Force ROTC, Detachment 772, Charleston Southern University in May 1996.
He is survived by his five children: Tami (37), Dakotah (27), Dane (12), Daxton (12), and Dashel (10). Among other things, his children will miss cooking, watching Star Wars, and traveling the country with him. His kids love him dearly as he so clearly loved them.
Eric took great pride in serving his country and had fond memories of the people he served with. We are holding this service in order to celebrate his life as well as the joy and laughter he brought to those around him.
This service will be informal and we invite you to share stories and memories you have of Eric (along with any jokes you shared) and what he meant to you.
