Eric Alan Findley, 65, of Baldwin City, Kansas died Friday, July 18, 2025 at Baldwin Healthcare and Rehab in Baldwin City, Kansas.
He was born December 31, 1959 in Lawrence, Kansas the son of Frank F. Findley and Patsy R. (Dillon) Findley.
Eric was a near lifelong resident of Baldwin City, graduating from Baldwin High School with the class of 1978. Eric had been a stock person for Price Chopper in Olathe for eighteen years. He worked primarily on the night crew.
Eric was a walking sports encyclopedia. He could tell you stats and information for all sorts of sports and sporting moments. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and K.U. Basketball fan. He rarely missed a game and he was always keeping up on the teams even during their offseason.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Patsy Findley.
He is survived by his sister Debby Purvis and her husband, John, Derby, KS; a brother, Mark Findley and his wife, Connie, Belton, MO; a niece, Whittney(Findley)Hays (Wesley), Raymore, MO; three nephews, Winston Findley (Hallie) Nixa, MO; Kent Purvis (Maggie), Wichita KS; Brett Purvis(Jayci), Oklahoma City, OK; and nine great nieces and nephews, Ben, Landry, Hank, Kale, Cal, Hope, Declan, Sawyer and Holden.
Graveside memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Oakwood Cemetery; Baldwin City, KS Condolences may be sent to the family through www.lamb-roberts.com or sent to Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O. Box 64, Baldwin City, KS 66006.
