Jerry Lynn Robbins, DVM, 65, of Oskaloosa, died of a broken heart and serious medical problems on Friday, October 31, 2025 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Jerry was born March 26, 1960 at Ottawa, KS, the son of Lee Duane and Wilda May Markley Robbins. He was a 1978 graduate of Baldwin High School and earned his degree in Veterinary Science from Kansas State University. He practiced as a veterinarian for 35 years. He also served 20 years as a Special Needs Para Educator for U.S.D. School District 341 in Oskaloosa. He was a baptized member of the Centropolis Baptist Church. Jerry was a longtime supporter and leader of Jefferson County 4-H Organization.

Jerry is survived by his mother, Wilda M. Robbins, Baldwin City, Tyler Farmer, (a special young man he started on raising cattle), Oskaloosa, his faithful pets, dog, Mitzie, his cat, Max, two brothers, Tony (Dorothy) Robbins, Fair Grove, MO, Mike (Carmen) Robbins, League City, TX, one sister, Brenda (Randy) Roberts, Baldwin City, Uncle, Leonard (Linda) Robbins, Pomona, a special great-nephew, Slater Brearly, Florida, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and many clients and friends who loved him dearly as a Vet and a Friend. "Many thanks to them for the prayers and love in his path".

Cremation Care is planned. At Jerry's request, no Memorial Services are planned. Memorial Contributions suggested to the Jefferson County 4-H foundation. Barnett Family Funeral Home is assisting with all arrangements.
