Eric Finesilver, 56, passed away at home in Plainfield on September 24, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on June 16, 1969, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to the late Frank and Jackie Jordan Finesilver. Eric lived a life marked by kindness and dedication. In 2009, he married his love, Jennifer Pizer Finesilver, who survives him. Eric built his career as a Technician at Epson and was a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church.

Beyond his professional and family life, Eric had a passion for travel, often combining his journeys with his love for music, photography, and sports. Although he was a fan of many sports, and a huge fan of Indianapolis sports teams, his passion from a young age was soccer. As a child he attended a camp where he met some of his favorite soccer players. As an adult, he traveled to watch his favorite teams play and toured international soccer stadiums. On his first trip to Italy, he discovered a fondness for gelato and made it his mission to find the best stracciatella and pistachio gelato wherever he went. Later in life, Eric embraced running, participating in numerous 5Ks, 10Ks, and half-marathons.

His compassion and care for others shone through in every aspect of his life, reflected in the deep love he had for his family and pets.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Jackie, and his sister-in-law, Sandy Finesilver. Eric's legacy lives on through his surviving family: his wife, Jen Finesilver, stepchildren from a previous marriage (Britiny (Joseph) Myshko & David Walker), 2 grandchildren, his siblings (Craig Finesilver (Anita), Deana (Gary) Desmarais, Lisa (Aaron) Shields, & Aimee (John) Steckler), and many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Though our hearts are heavy, we will cherish the memories we have and hold them closely for the rest of our lives.

Memorial services will be held on Friday October 3, 2025 at 7 p.m. in the Plainfield United Methodist Church in the New Day Praise Worship Center with memorial visitation from 6 p.m. until the service at 7p.m.

In honor of Eric, we will be serving gelato
