Eric Gilbert

ADRIAN – Eric James Gilbert, age 39, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at his home. Eric was born July 9, 1986, in Tecumseh, Michigan, at Herrick Hospital to Martin Gilbert and Lori Gray.
Eric loved being outdoors and enjoyed any activity he could do outside. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and enjoyed building bonfires whenever he could. He also loved his summer trips up north. Eric enjoyed watching MMA Fights and different creators on YouTube. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his best friend Rickey. He enjoyed going on bike rides with his Uncle Mikey. Eric loved animals and had many dogs, cats, snakes, and other animals throughout his life. Eric also enjoyed cleaning the house and spending time talking with his Aunt Shanna Perez, whom he liked to call his favorite person. Most of all, Eric liked spending time with Kayleen and the kids.
Eric is survived by his parents Martin Gilbert and Lori Gray, his daughter Sandra "Sandy" Gilbert; significant other, Kayleen Hague, his two adopted sons; Jasper Hague, and soon arriving Wyatt Cole Gilbert; step-brothers; Cody and Dillon Fox; Brother-in-law; Matt Earls; Sister-in-law; Kayla Hague; mother-in-law; Stacie Hague; grandmothers; Donna Gilbert, and Deb Gray; aunts and uncles; Tersa Engle, Michelle Wilson, Tony Gray, Jimmy Gilbert, Cheryl Manser, Kena Gilbert, Will Bebee, Connie Zarate, Lori Fox, and brother Jeramy Sneyd and many cousins. Eric is preceded in death by grandfathers, Charles Gray and Melvin Gilbert, grandmother, Sandra Cheyenne, and uncles, Mikey Gilbert, Melvin Gilbert Jr., and Jeff Engle.
Per Eric's request, cremation has taken place, and no services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
