Eric Robert Hawkins

Eric Robert Hawkins, born on March 24, 1968, passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 57. surrounded by the love of family and memories that will forever carry his spirit.
Born in Riverside, California, and raised in Visalia, Eric was the second of three children to Robert and Shirley Hawkins. His childhood was marked by laughter, freedom, and countless adventures shared with his elder brother Martin and his younger sister Lisa. From an early age, Eric embraced life with a passion-whether fishing, playing billiards, watching his beloved Rams, cooking, listening to music, or later enjoying games of cornhole and watching NASCAR.
Anyone who knew Eric could picture him clearly: bandana on his head, Rams gear on his back, and his signature ECV paraphernalia proudly worn. A proud full-fledged member of E Clampus Vitus, Eric found joy in fellowship and humor, never missing a chance to raise a tall can or share in the motto of "helping widows and orphans."
Eric worked as a Construction Journeyman Lather, a career he excelled in, though his skills stretched far beyond-framing, sheetrock, scaffolding, stucco, and EIFS work across California and Oklahoma. He often brought his sons alongside him, teaching them the trade and work ethic that defined his own life. When construction slowed, Eric turned to another talent: cooking. Those lucky enough to taste his food knew it was always served with class and heart.
Above all else, Eric's greatest pride and joy were his children. At just 18 years old, he chose to step into fatherhood with his first son and would eventually father six children in total. To his family, he was a man of a goofy sense of humor that lit up any gathering, a tough exterior that guarded a heart of gold, and a loyal father whose love was unshakable.
Eric now joins in eternal rest with his parents Robert and Shirley, his brother Martin, his eldest son Keith Jackson and his granddaughter Zoey Hawkins. He leaves behind a legacy of love that lives on through his family, carried proudly in the names of Jackson, King, Hawkins, Howard, and Garcia.
Eric will forever be remembered for his laughter, his loyalty, and his unyielding love for those closest to him. His life was a gift, and his memory will remain a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Celebration of Life will be held Saturday October 26, 2025, at 1:00pm at 2227 S.
