Eric J. Hinkel

Eric J. Hinkel, 66, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday, August 25th, at home.
Born in Norfolk, VA on September 8, 1957, he was the son of the late Joyce (Hill) Hinkel Hess and Harold Hinkel.
He attended Schuylkill Haven High School.
Eric served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 22 years; beginning his career as a military policeman and was an expert in ADA. He retired from the service as a Sergeant.
He was employed at Prysmian as a truck loader for over 35 years.
He was a member of The Belvederes.
Eric enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, trivia, and history.
Eric is survived by two daughters, Molly, wife of David Benway, of Drexel Hill; Claudia Hinkel, partner of Bill, of Myerstown; a son,Evan Hinkel, partner of Amanda, of Clarks Summit; and his former spouse and friend for 30 years, Coleen Hinkel, of Lititz.
In addition to his parents, Eric is preceded in death by his sister, Claudia Hinkel.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 30th at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc in Schuylkill Haven. A visitation will be held from 9:30 until the start of the service.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
