Eric Anthony Kashmer

Eric Anthony Kashmer, 60, of Oak Harbor, OH passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024 at his residence. He was born on September 29, 1963 in Fremont, OH to Kenneth Robert and Patricia Ann (Beeker) Kashmer. Eric graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1981. He worked as a brick mason for many years and then most recently for Avery Dennison in Oak Harbor as a finishing operator for the last 10 years. Eric was an avid fisherman, finding solace in the quiet moments by the pond. Music was another love, and he especially enjoyed the soulful tunes of Johnny Cash. Old TV sitcoms and movies, like "The Andy Griffith Show", provided comfort and laughter. Eric liked to cook and grill out for his family as well. He had a big heart for animals, especially the Beagles he's had over the years. Eric's family will miss his regular phone calls – like clockwork, checking in on them and sharing stories. He also took pride in checking in on Mike and his dogs, celebrating their well-being like they were his own, and always very proud of Mike and the life he's lead.
Eric is survived by his son, Michael (Heather) Kashmer of Mesa, AZ and brother, Earl (Kathy) Kashmer of Clyde, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per Eric's wishes, there will be no services. Cremation will take place under the direct care of the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor, OH.
