It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Eric Major, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend. Eric leaves behind his beloved wife, Noelle Major (nee Luterek), and their son, Carter James Major, who were the center of his world. He was the treasured son of Mary Jane Major and step-son of Joseph Czapczynski. Additionally, Eric was a proud son-in-law to Robert and Doreen Luterek, and a beloved grandson to Casimir and Frances Kozminski.
Eric's spirit and kindness extended further through his role as a supportive brother-in-law to Amanda (Steve) Pallone and a loving uncle to Bryson, Travis, and Avery Pallone. He will be profoundly missed by his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends whose lives he touched with generosity and warmth.
A man of remarkable dedication, Eric graduated from St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute in 2006 and pursued a noble career in law enforcement that began in 2008 with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office. In 2010, he joined the Lancaster Police Department, where he served with integrity until his untimely passing. Eric was also academically accomplished, earning his Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Niagara University in 2016, alongside an Associate Degree in Nursing from Erie Community College in 2021, reflecting his commitment to both public service and healthcare.
Family and friends are invited to gather at NEW COMER CREMATIONS & FUNERALS, 5090 Transit Rd, on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, where a Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 PM to honor Eric's legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the WNY Law Enforcement Helpline or The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, in memory of Eric’s compassionate spirit and unwavering commitment to helping others.
