Daniel John Lubkowski
December 17, 1959 - February 4, 2026
Daniel John Lubkowski, age 66, passed peacefully on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 at his home in
Warrenton, Virginia. He was born on December 17th, 1959 in
Buffalo, NY, son of the late Emil & Alice Lubkowski.
He was a loving father, wonderful husband, and great brother and friend. Daniel Lubkowski was taken from us by the horrible disease, cancer. Daniel had a wonderful childhood with his father, mother, two brothers, and sister. His father was a manager at Bethlehem Steel and his mother was a domestic goddess who was always baking, sewing, and checking in on what Dan was up to!
Dan attended Saint John Vianney grade school and graduated from Bishop Timon High School. He then went on to receive an associate's degree from Erie Community College in electrical engineering. Dan left a job at Apollo Two-Way Radio Station to begin a life long career with ATT. That opportunity took him and his wife, Susan, to northern Virginia. Dan climbed the corporate ladder from technician to management. He later attended Strayer University where he obtained a bachelor's degree in human resource management. Dan then went on to receive his master's degree in human resource management in 1996 from National Louis University. In addition to his collegiate degrees, Dan was always continuing to better himself in his career and for ATT through certifications and continuing education courses. In his free time Dan was a very enthusiastic and avid hunter, fisherman, and boater. These activities took him to Canada, Florida, the Outer Banks, and out west. He was a talented carpenter whom constructed decks, porches, and a variety of other items. Dan was an intelligent, savvy, and resourceful man who could accomplish any task that he put his mind to. He was honorable, dependable, and always kept true to his word. Dan would want to be remembered for his integrity and love of God and family.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 44 years, Susan M. Lubkowski; daughter, Jennifer Lubkowski of Culpeper, VA; two siblings, Dian Thompson & her husband, Cecil of Goodview, VA and John Lubkowski & his wife, Kathy of Harrisonburg, VA; three nephews, Mikel, Morgan & Steven; two nieces, Kristin & Marissa; and many great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
