Obituary of Eric Christopher McManama

Eric Christopher McManama, 47, of Independence, KY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Thomas, KY. The son of Cliff McManama and Barbara {Jones} Gaddis, Eric was born in Covington, KY, on October 6, 1975. He served in the United States Navy and was employed as a welder for many years.
Eric was known for his great sense of humor, his generosity, and his kind heart. In his spare time, you would find Eric watching movies, eating a bowl of ice cream, or cracking a joke. Most importantly, he cherished the time spent with his family as they were what mattered most to him. A proud dad, pawpaw, son, brother, and uncle, Eric will be forever missed by all.
Those that are left to carry on Eric's legacy are his beloved children Devin, Candace, and Kaylee McManama and Alyssa Payne; mother Barbara Gaddis; grandchildren Kamden and Ace; sisters Sherry (Dan) Bayer, Jennifer (Marty) Wirth, Samantha (John) Mickens, and Danielle Gaddis; brother Wayne (Anita) McManama; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Eric was preceded in death by his father Cliff McManama, stepfather Daniel Gaddis, sister Katie McManama, brother Greg McManama and special friend Sarah Beach.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 16 between 10 AM and 11 AM with a memorial mass to begin at 11 AM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Hwy Florence, KY 41042. Eric will be inurned at Independence Cemetery where military rites will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at .
