Eric Montanez Obituary

Visit the Chism-Smith Funeral Home website to view the full obituary.

Eric Alexander Montanez, born on May 10, 1986, in Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025. Eric was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, known for his joyful spirit and entrepreneurial drive.

Raised in Dallas, Eric attended Molina High School, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with passion and ambition. As an entrepreneur, he tirelessly pursued his dreams, always looking for opportunities to create and innovate, leaving a mark on those who had the privilege to know him professionally and personally.

Eric was a devoted father to his four children: Crystal, Analiz, Gianelle, and Eric Jr. He took immense pride in their accomplishments and cherished every moment spent with them. He particularly enjoyed practicing baseball with his son, where both shared laughter and life lessons. His love for sports extended beyond the family, as he was an avid fan of Dallas sports teams, often seen wearing Cowboys and Ranger’s colors with pride.

Family gatherings were highlighted by Eric’s humor and storytelling, including the time he experienced a near-death incident while on a jetski - a tale that would become a favorite among family members, humorously attributing the mishap to his middle daughter's enthusiastic encouragement.

Eric is survived by his loving parents, Teresa and Leo , his Tia Cecy, who was like a second mother to him growing up , and his sister Larissa, who will undoubtedly carry forward the warmth and compassion he brought into their lives. He also leaves behind his cherished grandson, Fabian, who gave Eric endless joy.

Though Eric's wife, Maria, predeceased him, the memories of their time together live on in the hearts of those who knew them both. We find peace in knowing they are now reunited in Heaven.

In this time of grief, we remember Eric Alexander Montanez as a man of indomitable spirit, a loving father, and a true friend. His legacy will endure through the kindness he shared and the love he fostered.
