Eric wasn´t just a co-worker - he was a real friend.
We met at one job, and sometime down the road, we ended up working together again somewhere else. While we didn´t have a chance to hang out all the time, when we did, we always had fun - usually watching documentaries and talking.
He was a very honest person, and I always felt like I could trust him completely. That kind of friendship is rare, and I truly valued it.
He also taught me things - about history, geography, and topics I´d never really paid attention to before. I honestly learned more from our conversations than I ever did in school.
He had an incredible work ethic - dependable, dedicated, and willing to put in the effort without complaint. It was something I genuinely admired about him.
We also shared a love of animals. My cats adored him - and if you knew Eric, that wouldn´t surprise you. He had a calm, kind energy that drew people and pets alike.
He had a quiet confidence and steady presence. He didn´t need to be the loudest guy in the room - his strength and dependability spoke for themselves. I have great respect for his military service and for the way he handled his health struggles with grace and courage.
It´s heartbreaking to lose someone like him. I hope he knew how much he was appreciated - not just for the work he did, but for the kind of person he was. I´ll miss him deeply.
Rest in peace, Eric. You made a difference.
