Steven T. Forrest, age 58, of Somersworth, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2025, alongside his beloved dog, Randell.
Born in Amesbury, Massachusetts, on March 23, 1967, Steve graduated from Amesbury High School and went on to attend NHTI. Following his education, he pursued his passion for building, dedicating his life to a long and fulfilling career as a carpenter. His craftsmanship was marked not only by precision, but by pride and genuine care for the people he worked for and alongside.
Steve had a deep love for the outdoors and the simple joys in life. He could often be found hunting, fishing, or walking his dog. A proud fan of NASCAR and a loyal follower of all New England sports teams, he never missed a chance to cheer on his favorites. Above all, Steve cherished time spent with his family and friends—especially his beloved daughters and grandsons, who were the center of his world. Proudly known as “Geepaw,” he found his greatest happiness in the love and laughter they shared together.
Steve was known for his generosity, big heart, and deep roots in his community. He was a devoted supporter of Lend a Helping Can and a lifetime member of the National Wild Turkey Federation. Whether sharing stories with everyone or enjoying his daily walks with his best bud, Randell, Steve had a remarkable gift for connecting with people. His kindness, warmth, and genuine spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and generosity that will continue to shine through his family and friends every day.
Steve is survived by his two daughters, Kayla Forrest, and Ashley Forrest and her fiancé, Jonny Silveria; his two cherished grandsons, Cameron and Colton Silveria; his sister, Deborah Forrest; and his mother, Beatrice Forrest.
