Eric A. Ostrander

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Eric Alfred Ostrander on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the age of 74. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Eric was a man whose greatest joy in life was his family. Married to Annette 48 yrs. From the moment his daughters were born, they became his world, and he devoted himself to ensuring they always felt supported, loved, and cherished. He loved his grandchildren with his full heart and was a proud Pop Pop. He was a constant source of strength, guidance, and humor. His spirit has touched their lives forever.
A lover of sports, music and movies, Eric's interests were more than just hobbies-they were a reflection of his zest for life. Whether he was on the sidelines, sharing his knowledge, trying to "out movie quote" everyone, or simply enjoying a quiet moment, Eric's energy and enthusiasm were contagious.
His genuine being, his willingness to offer a helping hand, and his listening ear made him a true friend to so many. His presence will be deeply missed, especially by the "Boys" at their Monday outings.
Eric is survived by his devoted wife, Annette; daughters, Emily (Jason), Elizabeth, and Molly; brother, Ron (Diane); sister, Becky Baboyian (Chick); Grandchildren; Madeleine, Eddie, Jack, Chase. Several nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends will remember him with love and affection. His loss is felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He led a big and full life and his loss has left a large void in the lives who loved him most.
A memorial service to celebrate Eric's life will be held on Friday at Liz Ostrander's home. 12238 Sessile Commons, Fairfax, VA 22030 from 4:00 – 7:00.
Eric's memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. He will forever be missed.
