Eric was a very smart and talented guy who did great work for the citizens of Smyrna, GA. I had the pleasure of working with him when I served on the City Council. I appreciated his careful and honest appraisal of the many situations we discussed and always took his problem-solving suggestions to heart. He was always cheerful, calm and generous. His sudden passing came as a great shock to everyone who knew him. RIP sir. Thank you for everything you did to help others, both professionally and personally. I send sincere condolences to his family and friends.

You could not ask for a better friend and colleague than Eric. At the City of Smyrna, we worked on many projects and he was level headed and always had the City´s best interests at heart.
Whether it was making Boston butts or brisket for a retirement lunch (which he gladly shared his recipe!) or taking an extra red maple seedling home to grow, Eric was a stand up guy with a ready smile and laugh.
Gone way too soon. My heartfelt condolences to his wife and family.

Dearest Berlin,
My thoughts are with you, Brittany and your entire family at this very sad time. May your husband rest in peace and may you and your family be comforted with your memories and knowing how much you shared.

I had the incredible honor of getting to know Eric in our capacity as colleagues with the City of Smyrna. His affability endeared so many to him, including myself, and I am better for having known him for over 5 years. I will miss his hearty laugh, kind spirit, and his warmth for others. I aim to continue in life sharing the traits for which Eric was so dearly loved and respected. Thank you, Eric, for the ways in which you enriched my life and the lives of so many others who will miss you terribly.
