Eric Ray Sharber, 52, of Amarillo, TX passed away December 31, 2024.
Memorial service will be at 12:00 PM, Saturday, January 4, 2025 at New Life Church, 406 Pittsburg. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Eric was born May 28, 1972 in Amarillo, TX to Tommy and Judy Sharber. He graduated from Tascosa High School then attended Amarillo College where he earned an associate degree. Eric then went on to obtain a bachelor's degree from WTAMU in Canyon. He married Bertha Arenas on July 21, 2015. Eric loved to hunt, fish, and be outdoors! He enjoyed going to gun shows and he never knew a stranger. Eric was the only person we ever knew that could eat a whole cow and be hungry an hour later.
Eric was an ordained minister and also worked at Llano Cemetery. He worked as a pharmacy tech for D & S Pharmacy for many years. He also worked as an insurance agent for over 20 years. Eric and Bertha attended Encounter Church and New Life Church.
Eric is survived by his wife Bertha Sharber of Amarillo, TX; son, Cameron Ray Sharber of Burleson, TX; daughter, Kayla Sharber; son, Raul Garcia of Amarillo, TX; and daughter, Marina Garcia both of Amarillo, TX; stepmom, Denny Sharber of Amarillo, TX; and 5 grandchildren, Tommy Ray Sharber, Elisabeth Sharber, Mason Hernandez, Jeremy Nickerson, and Marcello Castellanos.
Eric loved the Lord with all his heart. He was saved and baptized in 2015. He served the Lord in many capacities until the day that he went to be with his Father. Eric will be dearly missed. When you remember Eric, remember him with a smile!
