Eric Thompson

Eric E. Thompson, 44, of Prophetstown, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Genesis Medical Center Illini Campus, Silvis.
Cremation rites will be accorded, and a Celebration of Life will begin at Noon, Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Leisure Time Billiards & Sportsbar in East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.
Eric was born on July 10, 1977, in Silvis, the son of Paul S. and Kimberly J. (Holland) Thompson. He married Halcyon A. Robinson on February 2, 2022, in Rock Island, after twenty-one years together. He was currently employed at Doors in Whiteside County. Eric was a car enthusiast. He was also an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Eric enjoyed fishing, cooking, and video games. He was an active member of the darts community across the Quad Cities. Eric took every opportunity he had to ride his motorcycle. He was artistic and loved music. The best thing about Eric was how fiercely he loved.
Survivors include his wife, Hallie; children, Paige Blackwell, Chandra Linn, Eric Thompson II, and Kiaya Thompson; grandson, Anthony Culberson; mother, Kim (Jim) Brewer; and brother, Chris Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Samuel Jayson Thompson.
