Jeffrey E. Thompson, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on December 5, 1956, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he was the cherished son of Eugene and Georgia (nee Sandlin) Thompson. Jeff's life was a tapestry of passion, love, and adventure, intricately woven through the years by the connections he formed and the memories he created.
Jeff met the love of his life, Theresa Kay Roy, in a serendipitous encounter that blossomed into a beautiful partnership. The couple married on June 17, 1978, and together they welcomed two wonderful children: Jeffrey Allyn and Ashley Danielle. From the very beginning, Jeff embraced his role as a family man, shaping the lives of his children with love and guidance.
A man of many talents, Jeff dedicated himself to various careers, starting at Tri-County Automotive garage, where he worked alongside his father-in-law. Following this, he transitioned into a fulfilling career as a Cosmetic Therapist, known affectionately as Jeff Thompson CT in the greater Cincinnati area.
Jeff's love for cars was a defining aspect of his character, from his first GTO and passion for drag racing to his membership in the Chevelle club. Throughout his life, he owned many classic cars and cherished the thrill of off-roading in his Jeeps. His adventurous spirit extended beyond automobiles, as he found joy in motorcycles, bicycling, and spending time outdoors-hunting, shooting, and fishing, including participating in fishing tournaments in his younger years.
Traveling was another cornerstone of Jeff's life, with golfing often leading the way to new horizons. He also took pride in coaching soccer, baseball, and softball, creating lasting memories with his children. As his health challenged him, Jeff found solace in music, teaching himself to play the guitar and becoming a D.J. and karaoke enthusiast. He had a particular love for the classics, sharing his admiration for the Beach Boys and Johnny Cash with friends and family.
Jeff leaves behind his devoted wife of 46 years, Theresa (nee Roy) Thompson; his beloved children, Jeffrey Allyn Thompson and Ashley Danielle (Travis) Buck-Meier; and his cherished grandchildren, Lucas Cole Ballard, Carter Anthony, Oliver Dominic, and Gabriel Eugene Buck-Meier, Lillian Grace Thompson, and a baby Buck-Meier on the way. He is also survived by his brother, Phillip Thompson; sister-in-law, Melinda (Charles) Loy; and a host of nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Georgia (nee Sandlin) Thompson, and his sister, Linda Aaron.
Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of Jeff on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Visitation will take place from 1 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 3 PM. Services will be officiated by Pastor Grady Smith and Noah Icenhour, who will honor Jeff's life and legacy with reflections and tributes.
As we celebrate the life of Jeffrey E. Thompson, let us remember him not only for the roles he played as a husband, father, and friend but also for the joy he brought into our lives through his passions, his laughter, and his love. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
