Today, we celebrate the life of a truly remarkable woman-a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend-whose laughter and love will echo in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Juliana "Julie" Louise Austing departed this life peacefully on March 17, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving behind a legacy of joy and connection.
Born on December 31, 1955, in
Cincinnati, Ohio, Julie was the cherished daughter of George Ronald "Ron" Austing and Gertrude Louise "Louise" Austing. From an early age, she learned the values of love, family, and compassion, which she carried with grace throughout her life. Surrounded by her siblings-Theresa, Gigi, David, Michael, and Ronda-Julie crafted warm memories that would last a lifetime. They grew together, sharing childhood adventures that forged unbreakable bonds.
Julie devoted herself wholeheartedly to motherhood, becoming a steadfast pillar of strength for her sons, Tony, Stan, and Steve, and her daughters, Karri and Brandy. She poured her heart into raising her children, teaching them the importance of family, kindness, and resilience. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and laughter, where everyone was welcomed, and love was freely shared.
The light of her life extended to her beloved grandchildren-Skyler, Bradley, Caleb, Kamryn, Evan, and Kendra-who brought her immeasurable joy. The stories they exchanged, the laughter they shared, and the moments spent together were treasures that will forever shine brightly in their hearts.
Known for her passion and enthusiasm, Julie was a dedicated fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals. Gathered around the television, her family celebrated victories and shared heartaches, all while feeling the warmth of her spirit.
A particular highlight of family gatherings was her famous deviled eggs, a labor of love that became synonymous with her nurturing nature and commitment to family connections. Julie embraced life with adventurous joy, thoroughly enjoying rollerblading, fishing, and singing at karaoke-activities that showcased her vibrant spirit and zest for life.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, sons Stan Kessler and Steve Wiley, and brother Michael Austing.
She leaves behind her cherished children, Tony Kessler; Karri (Ken) Hetzer; and Brandy (Johnny) Brown; adored grandchildren: Skyler, Bradley, Caleb, Kamryn, Evan, and Kendra; and beloved siblings: Theresa Austing, Gigi (Clay) Burton, David Austing, and Ronda (Al Elsen) Austing. She was also a wonderful aunt to many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her extraordinary life will take place on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM at the American Legion Post #199 on Campbell Road. Family and friends will come together to share fond memories, laughter, and perhaps a few karaoke songs-an homage to her beloved pastime.
Julie was a beautiful soul, a loving mother, a devoted sister, and an adoring grandmother. Her spirit will continue to guide us, reminding us to embrace each day with love and to cherish one another just as fiercely as she cherished us. As we gather to honor her memory, let us reflect on the joy she brought into our lives and celebrate the everlasting impact she made on our hearts.
